The band will release their fourth album in April
The band fourth album 'Dilate' will be released on Matador Records on the 24th April. The record features 10 tracks recorded over the course of 2000 at the Lemur House in Philadelphia and runs for over 72 minutes. It will be released as a single CD as well as double LP. According to the bands website "'Dilate' stands to represent a truly great assembly of all phases of the band's sound and will definitely appeal to the time-tested fan."
The band is presently trying to organise a May US tour with Mogwai. If those plans do not pan out, expect to see Bardo out on the road no later than June.
As well as the forthcoming album, the band are re-releasing their limited edition CDR 'Vol. 1'. The band are to run an additional 100 copies of this disc to help those who missed out the first time around. 50 copies have been reserved for sale through thier website http://www.threelobed.com/bardo while the additional 50 will be available at upcoming shows. There's also second CD-R which features material from a new collaboration project. Third Troll is the work of the Gibbons brothers and Isobel Sollenberger are joined by Kevin Moist and Aaron Igler. Hummingbird Mountain reports that the result of this "a true sonic freak-out, not unlike that of the No Neck Blues Band". 'Phlebotomy' is nearly 70 minutes and the three epic tracks are from a single recording session. The CDR is again limited to 100 copies, 50 copies will be sold via the website, the other 50 will be available at upcoming live shows.
