Tiger Style release split EP featuring K and Low
Ex-Beekeeper Karla Schickele, now of Brooklyn trio Ida, is set to release two solo recordings under the moniker of K, through Tiger Style Records. The first is to be a split EP with Duluth's Low. Each artist will record two exclusive songs for the EP, Low are set to include an updated version of their 1997 classic 'Venus'. The CD should be available just in time for K's solo US tour later this spring. Summer will see the Tiger Style release of a full-length K recording, which also features material written by Low.
Meanwhile Ida is currently in the process of putting the finishing touches on their new album 'The Braille Night' which will be released in early summer of 2001. All tracks on the album were originally recorded during the 'Will You Find Me' sessions but this album will be "darker" than previous Ida releases.
