Under the name Magnus, Tom Barman, Peter Vermeersch and dancy supremo CJ Bolland combine, to create a "funky, light and summery" side project. Magnus will also be the soundtrack to Tom's first feature-length film 'Any Way The Wind Blows' - set for release in Belgium on June 18th and according to deus.be, the rest of Europe will have to wait until September. The movie has been aired at a few film festivals and please, anyone who's seen it, drop us a mail or comment below and tell us what it's like.
A single entitled 'Summer's Here', the title-track of the 'Any Way The Wind Blows' soundtrack, will be released in May/June, followed by the Magnus album in September via Island Records.
In other news... dEUS are going to start rehearsing, writing and recording a new album in September. Tom has already written four or five new songs for the new album, which are "rock, uptempo, sexy", or so he told their official website. Expect an album of leftfield pop and crazy imagery sometime, we'd guess, early 2004.
