The line-up will be Ian Astbury on vocals, Billy Duffy on guitar and Matt Sorum (who left the band in 1991 to join Guns N' Roses) on drums and bassist Billy Morrison, who played in the band's original incarnation, Southern Death Cult.
Bassist Martyn Le Noble, who played with the band on some recent American shows, has joined Jane's Addiction, where he replaces Red Hot Chili Pepper Flea.
The Cult new album, 'Beyond Good And Evil', is set for a June release and they kick off a world tour next month in America. Tracks on the new album include 'War', 'The Saint' and 'Black California'.
They also hinted that they would be appearing at the UK Tibetan Freedom concert, which now looks like it will take place in London's Brockwell Park.
Ian said the new album was a "sonic assault" with Billy adding that the band were here to provide an alternative to the "limp-wristed" likes of Coldplay.
