Heart Yeah

Chris Huelsbeck

Label: Thee Sheffield Phonographic Corporation Release Date: 02/06/2007

holliy by holliy June 7th, 2007

First up: this single is free! You can download it from theespc.com from June 2nd, and all it will cost you is a few seconds/minutes* of time. But! time is money: should you exchange a few of your precious seconds/minutes* on this earth in order to own these two songs?

Well, if you like kinda threatening and incomprehensibly angry/melancholy noise full of crunching guitars, squalling bleepy sounds and wave of arcade noise, the answer has to be a definite _“Yes!”_. **Heartyeah** do guitar-electro horribleness very well, mixing spiralling, pneumatic, ear-drum-puncturing guitar sounds with aching sound effects and somewhat deranged vocals to create something that sounds genuinely weird and nasty, but which retains a sufficiency of human emotion to be aching and haunting as well.

And that mixture has a strange fascination to it, and before you know where you are you’re pressing Play again and again as you try and pin down the addictively elusive emotions which surely shouldn’t be so firmly attached to something this wilfully misanthropic.

So, you have been warned – now ignore that warning, and go get hooked on these songs.
