Biffy Clyro

Justboy

Label: Beggars Banquet Release Date: 01/10/2001

768
afrankowski by Andy Frankowski September 26th, 2001

Though clouds may be hovering over the indie rock scene, a break of light can be seen with the release of ’Justboy’ by Glasgow newcomers **Biffy Clyro.

’Justboy’ begins with the sounds of heavy and soft guitars separating the vocal harmonies like thunder and lightning before the storm. Ending with a shattering downpour of guitars and the vocal chant “I am hoping through the dark clouds, light shall break and bring a bright sky.” only slowing near the end as if the sun was beginning to show.

Biffy Clyro are rock hopefuls that seem to be leading the way and washing way the scenes past failures. With this release and their album soon to follow the skies will be bright for a while.
