Télépopmusik

Breathe

Label:

swijetilleka by Sajini Wijetilleka February 10th, 2002

Sqeaky plip-plop electronic beats backed with inoffensive sonar swirls. The most tactful way to describe this attractively packaged piece of what the lazy journalist may define as a ‘pathetic stab at world music, purified into plastic eurodance-cum-trance’. Even the lyrics they scatter randomly, are unsalvageable, unimaginative drivel. You can’t dance to this music, the best one can muster is the slight nod of the head in time. This isn’t chilling music either, as the dithery beat slowly pounds it’s way to irritance as you attempt and fail to sleep.
