DiS & RoTa: Tearing up Notting Hill - *Now With Added Eberg*
DiS & RoTa: Tearing up Notting Hill - *Now With Added Eberg*
crablin by Colin Roberts April 21st, 2005
DiS & RoTa Saturday Matinee

Notting Hill Arts Club, Notting Hill Gate
Saturday, 30th April, 4-8pm
Entrance: FREE

Lux Luther
The Voxx
Lost Sunday
+ Colin & Mike's Performing Champion-Chimp DJ Roadshow
+ DJs Pyrrha Girls

Lux Luther
Coming on like The Boomtown Rats and frolicking their way around an Oliver's Army-era Elvis Costello, Lux Luther are here to force you to dance, covort and spasm around whilst you attempt to hold down your beer. 80s pop and style from the London-based three-piece

The Voxx
Intent on exploding in our face with an orgy of sex-laden rock, harmonies and demanding bass, The Voxx are here to give us a show which we can throb in the general direction of. Not without their more tender moments, the band will deliver something for everyone whether you like it or not.

Lost Sunday
Completing a young-guns bill, Brixton-based Lost Sunday spread their Rock/Dance vibes across our communal ears, feet and nipples. Four guys who claim to have four distinct personalities, their impressive total of gigs in a short space of time makes them well worth arriving early for. Plus, they've got pretty neat haircuts and EVERYONE loves haircuts.

*new addition* Eberg
We've just had the fortune to add Icelandic solo hero Eberg, a man who create lush noise textures in an organic singer-songwriter way. A highly recommended addition to the bill that we're very excited about. Get here early to make sure you see what we're fussing about.

The Plate-spinners
Colin & Mike's Performing Champion-Chimp DJ Roadshow
Last time at RoTa, a minor revolution took place. Folk from all parts discovered the combined talents of Mike "Doorstop" Diver and Colin "Pituitary" Roberts are the only way they will get to hear The Blood Brothers followed by McFly with Chris Morris samples and The Fucking Champs instrumentalising along the way. "A victory for the art of DJing" - DJ Weekly

The Pyrrha Girls
Having played with the likes of Razorlight and at Club Seal and everywhere that's hip and so hot right now, Sara & Nadia are ready to return to the Notting Hill Arts Club with their venerable mix of Yazoo, Bloc Party, KaitO and everything in between.

So, do come, a bottle of beer for £2, a glass of wine for £2, it's ALL there and with an entrance fee significantly less than a penny, you can't lose.

DiScuss: Are we the only people who start every Saturday's binge at RoTa and end up on our backs by 10pm? Who do you want to see there in the future?
