Margaret Muller RIP
Margaret Muller RIP
adream by Alice Dream February 5th, 2003
It was with good humour that I turned over from the rerun of the Michael Jackson expose to ITV News last night. It was with horror and great sadness that I realised the reason for the phone interruption.

My friend and beautiful soul, Margaret has been stabbed to death in Hackney.

A regular of TRASH club, and a popular and talented artist (not for the obituary, but for real), Margaret was one of those few genuine people in the world. Unaffected by the "cool" trappings of the bullshit that most people in that world live, she shone as a beacon of intelligence, and hard work coupled with a realistic and keen view of "the scene"
It is ironically one of the contributing factors to her death that she was so disciplined and serious about her work.
One of the last conversations I had with her was one about getting into that flow of getting up early and buckling down to work in a "grown up" fashion. It is this ethic that led her to take up jogging and becoming fit.

I cannot really add any emphasis to the tragedy of her death, or make sense of it other than to say that I do not wish the perpetrators (allegedly two) prison, but I would like them to experience pain and loss.

That is all. We will miss you, Margaret.
