Pop megastar Madonna could face legal action in Germany, as prosecutors in the country are to monitor her Confessions tour as it makes its way over their home turf.
Officials have made it clear that Madonna's mock crucifiction - part of the show's many set-pieces - could easily be construed as insulting religious beliefs. They are to study reports and reviews in the media, but will not personally attend any of the singer's shows. She is to play in Dortmund on Sunday.
This news comes soon after similar criticism from Italy - on August 6, The Pope said that Madonna should be excommunicated prior to her performance in Rome. He added that the aforementioned act was a profanation of the cross.
You'd think she'd be old enough to know better, really.
