Cat Power's The Greatest long-player is to be re-issued by Matador later this month.
The label is keen to stress that the re-issued version, which features new artwork and will be sold at a special price, is not intended to make existing owners of the LP buy twice. There is no new material on the new version; it's simply being released to extend the record's shelf life. In their words: "this endeavor is really directed at persons who've not checked out the album yet".
Still, if anyone did miss out on the album when it was first released back in January, well, here's your chance to get hold of the record for a little less cash.
There's a website dedicated to the album right here. Cat Power plays Camden's recently reopened Roundhouse venue on November 1. A single, 'Could We', is released on October 30.
