Is this what it's come to? We're reduced to not only running news stories about Rod Stewart, but also Robbie Williams? It feels like only yesterday that the shaking-his-rudebox shite-for-brains was staring out from these 'ere pages, and here he is again. Someone, please, do something newsworthy. I know it's Friday and you're already thinking about the pub - so am I - but please... someone go and tickle Thom Yorke or something...
Anyway, Robbie's in a little hot water over a few lyrics on his forthcoming album, Rudebox (aye, it's got the same title as the single). One song, 'The 90s', contains a series of allegations about former Take That manager Nigel Martin Smith.
Now, Martin Smith is considering taking legal action against Williams. The Sun quoted a source, who knew a little something-something about this, that and t'other...
"Nigel is getting really heavy with his lawyers over these allegations. He is taking it very seriously. He was furious when he found out about some of the lyrics in the song and wants it deleted from Robbie's album.
"Robbie's lawyers are now dealing with it and have agreed that no copies of the song will be distributed until the legal issues have been resolved. They have also agreed not to release the lyrics anywhere until it is all cleared up."
Has anyone, like, done anything yet? I can give you the address of Grant from Feeder. How's about you toddle on over and pop a poop through his letterbox, eh?
