Triptych 05 ready to roll... LCD Soundsystem, Cat Power, Herbie Hancock...

If we at DiS may suggest another festival to you fine people…

This year's Triptych festival, is set to run from April 27th to May 1st throughout Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen.

The festival - in its fifth year - this year will offer sets from, amongst others, Kano, LCD Soundsystem, Gruff Ryhs, Arab Strap, Herbie Hancock, Luke Vibert, The Fall, Cat Power and Roots Manuva.

Additionally there will be a film programme featuring films such as the DiS recommended gang-warfare cult classic Warriors (embellished with a scintillating live score by hip-hop maverick Tes); the Howlin' Wolf Story - which documents the life of the legendary bluesman; and Look For Me in the Whirlwind - an account of Marcus Garvey; one of Jamaica's greatest cultural icons.
