Two Gallants' Texas show ends in violence
Mike_Diver by Mike Diver October 16th, 2006

Two Gallants' Houston show on Friday night ended in violence after a particularly physical police officer forced proceedings to a close following a noise complaint, reports Pitchfork.

The show at Walter's ended with Two Gallants drummer Tyson Vogel being arrested; guitarist and singer Adam Stephens was shot with the officer's taser gun, according to witnesses.

Specifics are obviously sketchy: The Houston Chronicle reported that the officer in question confronted Stephens after the singer refused to turn the band's music down. The singer then used offensive language towards the officer.

Stephens, however, refutes this: he told the same 'paper that he was singing when the officer shined a light into his eyes and told him to stop. He was then forced to the floor - there is photographic evidence of thise here, as well as video footage of what happened.

DiS obviously hopes the incident won't affect the band's plans to play the UK next month - click here for dates.
