QOTSA tour hit by Homme's ill health
disnews by DiS News September 2nd, 2005
Queens Of The Stone Age frontman Josh Homme fainted on stage in Germany on Monday, prompting rumours that the band might have to cancel their European tour.

Homme collapsed in Hamburg and was taken to a local doctor where he was diagnosed with severe exhaustion. The band's next show in Stuttgart was cancelled.

QOTSA's management have stated that Homme's condition is a result of both an extreme workload and the Hamburg venue's high temperature. Homme has only just recovered from surgery on his knee and also suffered a lung infection earlier in 2005, but even with this latest setback he has said that the band will honour upcoming show commitments in Austria and Spain.

QOTSA's forthcoming US dates with Nine Inch Nails are apparently unaffected, although we're not holding our breath for a smooth, problem-free tour.
