The next of DrownedinSound's free-entry shows at London's flagship Fopp store (in the café/bar area - it has a stage and sells beer and everything!) goes off with a bang this Thursday, May 10.

Kubichek!
Kubichek! formed in early 2004 after dissolving their previous band. Without so much as a backwards glance, they locked themselves in a room and began writing a shed load of abrasive ‘pop’ songs. Emerging occasionally to play well-received gigs around the north of England, they are currently riding on the back of some very positive praise indeed.

Napoleon IIIrd (pictured)
A highly original musician from Leeds, Napoleon IIIrd makes a unique kind of leftfield pop from piles of antique organs and car-boot keyboards, gentle strummed chords and driving glitched beats. His live show also features a reel-to-reel tape player, sometimes through surround-sound speakers, and a strobing acoustic guitar. He has played with the likes of Hot Chip, Clor, Mystery Jets and The Research. Debut album out soon!

Cats And Cats And Cats
One of the more excellent post-rock outfits around, Catsx3 put you in mind of a Mogwai or Mew that likes flowers and pretty girls in red dresses and such.
