Tomorrow, the August edition of our once-monthly DiScover Club goes off with a pop, a fizz, a drone and a hippy-hippy shake. Neat? You betcha.
As always, the free-entry afternoon gig comes to you in association with Rough Trade Shops, and takes place between the hours of 4pm and 8pm at London's Notting Hill Arts Club (21 Notting Hill Gate, W11 3JQ; nearest Tube is Notting Hill Gate). The event is open to over-18s only, so bring ID if need be. Happy hour-priced beer and wine is available at the bar all afternoon.
Playing LIVE:
Yeasayer
Brooklyn four-piece already much loved at the DiSopolis for their splicing of avant-pop Animal Collective-isms and '70s retro rock a la Fleetwood Mac and company. Really, really special live, Yeasayer are not to be missed on this brief visit to the UK (especially not when the gig in question costs nowt to get into!).

Public Relations Exercise (pictured)
Leicester-spawned frantic punk-rockers who've successfully channelled the spirit of ATD-I and fused it with some awesome physical displays on the live circuit - expect sweat. Their debut album, Come You Are Safe, We Are From The Bombs, is out now on Field Records (review), and new single 'Catalyst' is out in October. Forthcoming giggage includes a set at August 19th's Summerslam in Grantham, with I Was A Cub Scout, and the annual Brainwash Festival in Leeds in October.

Mandelbrot Set
From London, Mandelbrot Set craft epic post-rock soundscapes that conjure images of war-scorched battlefields and glowing red suns, murder and death and repentance and rebirth. Their debut album, All Our Actions Are Constantly Repeated, is out now on the Highpoint Lowlife label.
