Instrumental intensity: Pelican and Russian Circles on tour
Mike_Diver by Mike Diver August 11th, 2008

And it's not just the two instrumental (instrumetal?) heavyweights coming over, either.

Pelican (pictured) will bring their City Of Echoes LP to life, alongside catalogue cuts, with support from awesome thunder-pop rockers Torche. Find the Florida band's latest LP, this year's excellent Meanderthal, reviewed here.

The bands tour as follows:

September
12 Brighton Engine Room
13 Sheffield Corporation
14 Glasgow Oran Mor
15 Belfast Black Box
16 Dublin Whelans
17 Birmingham Medicine Bar
18 London Underworld
19 Bristol Croft

And then... In November Seattle's These Arms Are Snakes will tour alongside DiS-celebrated Chicago outfit Russian Circles. This one: going to be massive.

November
14 Brighton Engine Room
15 Exeter Cavern Club
16 Leeds Brudenell Social
17 Glasgow Stereo
18 Belfast Black Box
19 Dublin Whelans
20-21 TBC
22 London Islington Academy

Russian Circles' second LP Station is out now on Suicide Squeeze (review); These Arms Are Snakes release their this album, Tall Swallower & Dove, via Suicide Squeeze on October 6.
