Watch: New M.I.A. song, possibly on the album
JoeDiddly by Luke Slater January 13th, 2010

Fed up of speculative album news stories after the Joanna Newsom affair of yesterday? Well, tough, because we've got more, this time M.I.A. related, aaaaaaaaand a video to accompany it. Proof. Of something.

The London-based rapette and 'political activist' who goes by the stage name M.I.A posted the below video on her Twitter, with the message "THERE'S SPACE FOR OL DAT I SEE", which could mean anything, or it could be the title of the song. This was literally hours after telling the New York Times to get its priorities straight.

Go green!

Don't know if it's on the new record which is in the pipeline, but what is relatively certain is that it's her in the video, and that it's a brand new(ish) song of hers. That's something, isn't it?

If you want to read more about the lady's slagging off of the NYT and what it was all about, then head over to our esteemed American peers at Pitchfork. It's something to do with Sri Lanka, no doubt.
