Dirty Projectors announce bigger Bitte Orca and UK date
JoeDiddly by Luke Slater August 31st, 2010

Some call them hipsters, I say they are gravely misguided. The people who call them hipsters, that is, not the actually band in question, which is Dirty Projectors. They have confirmed the release of an expanded edition of last year's Bitte Orca, which includes a whole new disc. They've also confirmed a London date for later in the year.

Disc one will contain the same tracks as the original. You'll be familiar with them most likely but here they are again:

Disc One:

  1. Cannibal Resource
  2. Temecula Sunrise
  3. The Bride
  4. Stillness Is The Move
  5. Two Doves
  6. Useful Chamber
  7. No Intention
  8. Remade Horizon
  9. Fluorescent Half Dome

And of course disc two takes in the expansion. Here's what more you're getting for your money.

Disc Two:

  1. Fluorescent Half Dome (Live at Other Music)
  2. Temecula Sunrise (Live at Other Music)
  3. Two Doves (Live at Other Music)
  4. Cannibal Resource (Live at Other Music)
  5. No Intention (Live at Other Music)
  6. Ascending Melody
  7. Emblem of The World
  8. Wave The Bloody Shirt
  9. Bitte Bitte Orca
  10. Stillness Is The Move (Lucky Dragons Remix)
  11. As I Went Out One Morning

The expanded edition comes out on September 27 through Domino Records. You can also listen to track two on the bonus disc by clicking here. The London date they've just announced, by the way, is on December 6 at KOKO in London, just before they play ATP's Bowlie 2.
