Taking Back Sunday on hold?
daragh by Daragh Foley May 8th, 2003
Long Island punk rockers Taking Back Sunday have seemingly, in true rock'n'roll tradition, announced that they are 'taking some time out.'

After cancelling several US shows, the band posted the following kind-of-vague message on their website:

"We know there are many rumours and speculations going on about the status of Taking Back Sunday. There have been a series of personal events with members of the band. Right now the five of us really need some time to devote to our personal well being... This isn’t meant as something to harm that or the people involved. It is an attempt to protect and honour the value of what you’ve all been generous enough to appreciate. We need very much to take a step back at this time and we truly thank you for even considering understanding."

Although there is no specific mention of their UK shows with Brand New, all tour dates have been removed from the website, leaving their appearance on the jointly-headlined bill in serious doubt. Bummer.
