Matmos unveil 'fun' new LP

Electronic experimentalists Matmos are to release their new album, The Rose Has Teeth in the Mouth of a Beast, through Matador in May.

According to Pitchfork, the new LP is something of a musical biography, with the twin protagonists of Schmidt and Daniel penning ten tracks that focus on the individuals that have helped shape their own lives. The band has told the US website that styles explored on the album include 'porn funk' and 'Arabic ragtime psychedelia'. Okaaaay.

The pair have said that The Rose Has Teeth in the Mouth of a Beast is their most 'fun' album to date, and guest vocalists include Antony (of And The Johnsons fame), Björk, and Marcus Schmickler. Tracklisting looketh liketh this...eth:
