Oooh, win Black Heart Procession goodies
Mike_Diver by Mike Diver March 21st, 2006

So taken are we by the Black Heart Procession's forthcoming fifth album The Spell - due in May through Touch & Go - that we've pestered the powers that be into giving us a copy of the blighter to give away, along with the band's single, 'Not Just Words', released on April 24th.

BUT WAIT! That's not all: BHP play a free showcase gig at The Boogaloo boozer in Highgate, North London on April 3rd (click here for further details). It's a first-come-first-served affair, but by entering this here competition and winning yourself the above records you'll also assure yourself entry to what promises to be one amazing gig. SO, if you're thinking of entering, do ensure that you're able to come to London on April 3rd - that's a Monday - and that you've a place to stay if need be. We're not putting you up OH HELL NO. The winner can also bring a FRIEND. Yep.

The San Diego outfit are back in June, but short of getting your arse down to ATP in May, this Boogaloo show is the only UK date on their calendar to our knowledge. So, like, enter, by answering this question:

The Black Heart Procession hail from San Diego, as do popular hardcore act The Locust. A locust is an insect, as is a beetle, but which Beatle was shot dead by Mark David Chapman in New York in 1980?

WOW! That was easy. Send your answer to mike.diver@drownedinsound.com ASAP. Please write "Black Heart Procession" in the subject line or I simply won't read your answer, at all. This, this is the power I wield so wildly.

The winner will be notified by e-mail on Friday March 24th.
