Nottingham DiS this Saturday!
domgourlay by Dom Gourlay May 17th, 2006

Nottingham Drowned In Sound presents its latest instalment this coming Saturday (20th May), when we introduce four of the finest bands currently stepping out of the East Midlands' burgeoning music scene.

This month's extravaganza features the talents of:-

LO-EGO(pictured) - "Lo-Ego's mixture of tragedy, violence and ecstasy is all too rare amongst many of their one-scene-fits-all crazed peers" (Drowned In Sound)

LOVE ENDS DISASTER! - "Within the year this band will be massive, and we've not been wrong before" (Rough Trade)

SILHOUETTES OF SOLDIERS - "Their brooding semi-nihilistic hardcore brings to mind the intensity of Glassjaw coupled with the heavyweight riffage of Monster Magnet" (Drowned In Sound)

THE HELLSET ORCHESTRA - "This seven piece extravaganza is the Hellset Orchestra from Nottingham. Getting all of them on the Windmill stage is quite an achievement, and getting them to sound as good as they do even more so. It's all a bit throw everything at it and see what sticks, but the good far out weighs the bad." (Artrocker)

There will also be a club night afterwards featuring DJs including the Drowned-In-Soundsystem (Dom & Jordan) plus special guest DJs Lost Alone.

Date: Saturday 20th May.
Venue: Junktion 7, Canning Circus, Nottingham.
Doors: 8pm til late (1st band on 845).
Admission: £3 advance tickets, £4 NUS/flier, £5 door.
