A Drop In The Ocean second time around...
domgourlay by Dom Gourlay June 7th, 2006

After the overwhelming success of last year's Drop In The Ocean festival, which saw over 200 artists and 25 venues give their services for free and raise £57,000 for the Asian Tsunami relief fund, the organisers have been busy getting a second one in place.

Due to take place this Sunday (11th June), this year's festival is spread across 30 different venues and will feature performances from approximately 300 artists and DJs throughout the whole day until the wee small hours. And if that's not enough for you, The Big Wheel, Nottingham City Transport and Nottingham Express Transit, are providing free bus and tram travel across the city for all Drop In The Ocean punters.

Wristbands for the day cost a measly £8, which gets you access to every participating venue, with this year's funds being split between the Cambodian Center for the Protection of Children's Rights (CCPCR) and the Lord Mayor's Pakistan Earthquake Appeal.
