Current Pussycat Dolls collaborator and sometime detective duo sidekick Snoop Dogg has spoken to Billboard about his forthcoming album, Blue Carpet Treatment.
Snoop has enlisted the assistance of a plethora of well-known names on the project, and said:
“It's coming together so good. I've been working on it for nine months. I've been working with Pharrell (Williams), Timbaland, will.i.am (Black Eyed Peas), Stevie Wonder, James Ingram, Warren G, R. Kelly, Ne-Yo, Akon, Jermaine Dupri, Janet Jackson, on and on...
“I have so much good material, [now I have to work out] what I'm going to use on my record."
Snoop, now banned from entering the UK following his recent fistycuffs at Heathrow (see here), added that the past ten years have seen him alter his musical approach, with new raps tapping into more complex subject matters than hustling and hos:
“Now it's a little bit more in-depth, there's a little bit more going on with myself as far as the role I play now, the wisdom that I have, the direction that I take and the direction that I give. You can hear that in the music I'm making."
Bow wow wow yippie yo yippie yay... or something.
