The Outsider revealed: track listing and collaborators on DJ Shadow's new long-player
Mike_Diver by Mike Diver June 29th, 2006

Did anyone actually get into the tent to see DJ Shadow at Wireless on Friday? Nah, me neither...

Anyway... Josh Davies, aka DJ Shadow, has let loose the track listing for his forthcoming album, The Outsider.

Pitchfork revealed the song titles, alongside the collaborators on the new album, earlier today. For those that can't be doing with clicking away from DiS, see below...

1 'Outsider Intro'
2 'This Time (I'm Gonna Try It My Way)'
3 '3 Freaks' (featuring Keak Da Sneak & Turf Talk)
4 'Droop-E Drop'
5 'Turf Dancing' (featuring The Federation and Animaniaks)
6 'Keep Em Close' (featuring Nump)
7 'Seein Thangs' (featuring David Banner)
8 'Broken Levee Blues'
9 'Artifact'
10 'Backstage Girl' (featuring Phonte Coleman)
11 'Triplicate/Something Happened That Day'
12 'The Tiger' (featuring Sergio Pizzorno & Christopher Karloff)
13 'Erase You' (featuring Chris James)
14 'What Have I Done?' (featuring Christina Carter)
15 'You Made It' (featuring Chris James)
16 'Enuff' (featuring Q-Tip and Lateef the Truth Speaker)
17 'Dat's My Part' (featuring E-40)

That's a whole lot of guests, right there - keep 'em crossed that The Outsider won't be an UNKLE-style 'too many cooks' affair.

Pitchfork also quotes Solesides, saying things like "'Enuff' is the most un-DJ Shadow moment" and that 'Dat's My Part' samples Super Mario Brothers. Ace!

The Outsider is expected to be released in August, although no specific date has yet been set.
