When known as The Alleycat, the venue had touring bands five nights out of seven and local stuff on the other nights, sadly it closed about three years ago and left a gigantic hole in the Reading scene.

Tonight's line-up of solo artist Ginni Hogarth, guitar-pop filled Monarchy
and rock/grunge maestros Jelutong is not the best matched ever, but this
hardly matters with forthcoming delights such as Vex Red, Halo
and Rachel Stamp all on offer.
The Fez is a fantastic venue and the return of weekly touring bands to
Reading will hopefully re-vitalise the scene and make Reading an all year round
place for live music.
