www.drownedinsound.com would like to inform you about a gig.

Wed 28 May @ Brixton Windmill (www.windmillbrixton.co.uk)...

Loud Wednesday continues with more fresh-faced rock action.

.. BAREFACE formed in November '02 and been described as "a Deftones house party being gatecreashed by Poison The Well and Finch"- it is an intense, full on combination of soaring melodies and concrete slabs of heaviness. Rarrr. They've gigged a fair bit round the country in their brief lifespan and bring their noise to the Windmill for the first time.

Onstage at 10.30pm

.. STRAWBERRY BLONDES released a rock'n'roll Clash-meets-Mott the Hoople single on John Robb's 'Thrill City' label not so long ago, so you should know what to expect... Based in Newport, their manfesto includes "destroy the dancefloor... behold, the super soul sound..." And they hate The Beatles.

Onstage at 9:45pm

.. CAMERAN have produced not only the best demo this listener has heard for - ooh - ages, their CV doesn't look too bad either. They've played round Europe with RHCP, Supergrass, The (International) Noise Conspiracy and Soulfy. The demo was recorded in October and if you think along the lines of Janes Addicition meets Rage Against The Machine etc then you're on the right tracks... will say no more other than 'see you down the front'...
[no website that we know of]
Onstage at 9pm

+ DJ stuff inbetween

Only 3 quid on the door.
