SFA do Bestival, British Sea Power too
disnews by DiS News April 25th, 2005
Isle of Wight's alternative to the usual festival, Bestival, have announced those venerable festival heroes, Super Furry Animals are to headline the event. The Furries will play on the last night - the Sunday - on the weekend of the 9-11th September.

Alongside them will be The Go! Team on the same day.

Also appearing over the weekend will be Soulwax, 2 Many DJs, The Magic Numbers, British Sea Power, Tom Findlay (Groove Armada), Lee Scratch Perry, Tom Vek, Ulrich Schnauss, Terry Hall (The Specials), Jah Shaka, Fabio & Grooverider, Grand National, The Rakes, The Cuban Brothers, Two Lone Swordsmen, Emiliana Torrini, The Earlies, Hot Chip, Dub Pistols, Eclectic Method Howard Marks, The Filthy Dukes.

Sounds intriguing, does it not?

Tickets for the Bestival, taking place at Robin Hill Country Park, Newport, Isle of Wight, can be got at at www.bestival.net or by calling 08700 667753.

It's about £90 per weekend, and there's some sort of crazy ferry deal going on at these spots:

Red funnel ferry ticket line: 0870 444 88 98 / www.redfunnel.co.uk/bestival (Ferry packages from Southampton)

Wightlink ticket ferry line: 0870 582 7744 / www.wightlink.co.uk/bestival ((Ferry packages from Portsmouth))
