Foo Fighter in Hospital

It was just announced on Radio 1 that Foo Fighter Taylor Hawkins is in hospital having suffered a suspected accidental overdose. The forthcoming European dates have been cancelled.

Update The band have released an official statement about the incident. It reads as follows:

"The Foo Fighters have been forced to cancel all of their European dates after drummer Taylor Hawkins was admitted to hospital yesterday (Monday).

Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins was hospitalised yesterday morning after having apparently overindulged during festivities following the V2001 festival in Chelmsford, UK.

Hawkins is reported to be in a stable condition. Foo Fighters’ remaining UK and European dates, including the Ilha Do Ermal festival in Portugal and a support slot with U2 at Dublin’s Slane Castle have been cancelled."

The Foo Fighters have also cancelled their previously announced Kerrang! show at the Forum.
