Exclusive: Blessa 'Unfurl' some sweet moves in their new video
rleedham by Robert Leedham July 24th, 2014

Sheffield's Blessa have been making friends and breaking hearts for sometime now with their C86 swoon. Imagine Sophie Ellis-Bextor fronting Field Mice and you've got the gist of their Love Is An Evol Word EP... except it's a lot better than that sounds.

A heady mix of falsetto-sung sweet nothings and shimmering guitar chords, we're big fans of the band here at DiS. That's why we've got an exclusive premiere of the video for 'Unfurl'. A bittersweet accompaniment to the EP's opening track', it sees singer Olivia Neller’s sister, Alexandra, twirl her way around domestic scenery with tender poise.

If Sia’s ‘Chandelier’ video cut out the blonde wigs and amped up the sadness, then it would probably look something like this.

Fancy more of that maudlin schtick? The EP’s full, bedraggled swirl can be found below, while Blessa themselves play Tramlines Festival this weekend at The Cathedral in Sheffield. See you in the front row.
