Black Nielson: new album and DIS gigs on the way
shadyadie by [redacted] April 28th, 2003
Truck Records' BLACK NIELSON spent their winter months recording their shimmering sounds onto a new album, 'The Seahorse Boe'.

The LP is set for release in mid-late June on the Oxford-based label. Track-listing is thus:

THE HUMAN STRAIN
TTEEZZER
SOME NIGHTS VILLIANS
LIFE IS DIFFERENT FOR YOU
DEAD LUCKY
F.S.U
TILLY'S REQUIEM
ORGANDIE
DINOSAUR
YOUR FAINT HEART AND GUARDIAN
CONFLICT K

First single from the album sees them teaming up with White Town, for a remix of 'Tteezzer', and a Dusty Brown mix of 'Youth Faint Heart & Guardian'.

They've been a bit quiet on the live scene recently aside from a few gigs with Goldrush, and of course the DiS gig in Peteboro' a few days ago, as well as a support slot with Gene (!) in London.

A few gigs coming up are thus:

MAY
29th - Colchester, Soundhouse (DiS/Indiesoc night)
31st - Glasgow, Barfly (DiS/Jockrock night)

JUNE
3rd - Oxford, The Cellar (Trailerpark night)
9th - Southampton, Soul Cellar (Trailerpark night)

They're also set to play the Truck Festival in July.
